The dinoflagellate algae are considered as one of the most complicated organisms due to their unusual genomic characteristics and novel gene regulatory mechanisms. Here, we extracted information from the genomic sequences of the marine dinoflagellate Prorocentrum minimum by using 454/GS-FLX technology. We obtained 473 Mb of sequences through 1,379,588 reads, and generated 16,599 contigs after sequence assembly. We have submitted the sequences which showed annotation with dinophyceaen sequences.
