The intention of Ottawa Riverkeeper's Road Salt Community-Based Monitoring project is to gather data that would help to demonstrate the impacts of road salt overuse in the general Ottawa area on water quality. Conductivity, chloride and water temperature data was collected by volunteers regularly and also after trigger events like heavy snowfall or icy conditions.
