Abstract: Adopts the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method to dissect the shift under the epidemic shock of efficiently coordinated driving paths for industrial green transformation and the economy in the case sets of 2019, 2020 and mixed years in 30 China provinces and cities. The results show that: (1) The efficient and coordinated driving paths to achieve industrial green transformation are mainly government-led, pressure-driven-information-pulled and fully developed types. The non-efficient driving paths are inertia and conformist types. (2) Government-led and pressure-driven-information-pull driving paths can be used by regional government departments as short-term goals, followed by comprehensive development paths as long-term goals. By prioritizing the promotion of IT conditions, enterprises can effectively cooperate with local governments to achieve the goal of rapid industrial green transformation. (3) The importance of strong environmental regulation (ER) and well-developed information technology (IL) is correspondingly elevated in the efficient drive path under the epidemic shock, while the core absence of environmental regulation and market competition is more prominent in the non-efficient path. (4) The comparison of cases and selection of datasets from “stable” and "shock" years allows the causal logic of events to be explored in terms of change, and thus the dynamics of pathways to be understood. The resulting recommendations are more flexible and feasible.
