Weed control and revegetation in the dunes behind seven beaches in Wollongong

Management of dune vegetation was identified in the 'Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan, 2012' with a specific action to develop a Dune Management Strategy. The Dune Management Strategy was prepared in 2013, along with an 'Implementation Plan for the Dune Management Strategy' which was adopted by Council in 2013. This Implementation Plan included the specific actions 'Additional Management of Noxious and Invasive Weed Species', 'Management of Subspecies of Acacia longifolia', and 'establish a volunteer Dunecare program', all of which are included in this project.
