We used microarrays to detail cDC gene expression program controlled by IRF4 and IRF8. cDCs developed from Irf4–/– Irf8–/– bone marrow (BM) progenitors expressing retroviral Irf4 or Irf8 at low and high levels were sort-purified for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. We sought to obtain gene expression signature for cDC populations that are commonly or specifically controlled by IRF4 and IRF8.
