US Congressional Securities Transactions, 2005–present (House Clerk FD + Senate eFD)
收藏资源简介:
A continuously maintained dataset of securities transactions disclosed by membersof the United States Congress under the STOCK Act: 42,000+ trades from 2005 to present, collected from the two primary sources — US House Clerk Financial Disclosure reports and US Senate eFD Periodic Transaction Reports. Each record includes: member name, chamber, party, state/district, ticker, asset description, transaction type, owner, disclosed dollar range (amount_low / amount_high — PTRs disclose ranges only, exact amounts do not exist), transaction and disclosure dates, source, and computed per-share performance estimates (estimated price at transaction, recent price, percentage return since transaction, realized return where an offsetting sale exists). Because disclosures are ranges, dollar P&L cannot be computed; performance fields are percentages. Collection methodology: House FD reports are published as PDFs and parsed with a vision-model extraction pipeline; Senate eFD records are collected from the electronic filing system. Records are deduplicated per filing document. A sidecar meta.json in each version carries row counts, column definitions, SHA-256 checksum, and generation timestamp. A free public API over a trailing 3-month window of this data is available at https://www.bargo.ai/free-apis/congress This record provides the full historical panel for research use.
