This project aimed to investigate the transcriptional response of the plant-beneficial bacterium Pseudomonas sp. WCS374 to osmotic stress in the plant rhizosphere. WCS374 was co-cultivated with Arabidopsis thaliana roots in an in vitro system and then subjected to PEG-induced osmotic stress. This RNA-seq dataset was generated to identify differentially expressed genes and pathways that contribute to the bacterium's stress tolerance and plant-protective capabilities.
