Light-duty truck production share in Europe 2035 by fuel type

Two thirds of the light-duty trucks produced in Western Europe (including Turkey) are predicted to be zero-emission light-duty trucks by 2035. Purely battery electric and hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric trucks are projected to make up nearly 70 percent of the market by 2035, a swift rise compared to 2030, when they are expected to represent a third of the total production. By contrast, the production volume of internal combustion engine trucks is anticipated to shrink from almost two thirds to around one third oft he market. The overall production of light-duty trucks in this region is tipped to be just under three million units in 2035.
