Digital Archive from a Magnetometer Survey at Wick Solar Farm, Melksham, Wiltshire, March 2024

This collection comprises raw and minimally processed magnetometry data, a greyscale image of processed magnetometry data and a CAD drawing from a geophysical survey at Wick Solar Farm, Melksham, Wiltshire. Work was carried out by Archaeological Surveys Ltd in March 2024. The survey has located evidence for a ring ditch feature, along with a number of linear ditches that drain into a former watercourse, which also appears to have undergone some modification, extending eastwards as a linear ditch. Other anomalies relate to formerly mapped field boundaries, modern dumping and ground make-up and also a large zone of magnetically variable responses in the south western part of the site that is related to periodic waterlogging.
