资源简介:
Hohokam ceramics recovered during the Fort Mountain Archaeological Project in northern Phoenix, Arizona, are described and analyzed. Ceramics from five investigated sites suggest occupation during the Classic period. Phyllite-tempered plainwares dominate the assemblage. Petrographic and geochemical studies suggest at least three distinct production locales: one at or near Fort Mountain, one in the middle Cave Creek area north of Fort Mountain, and one "unknown" locale probably located in the uplands north of Phoenix. Strong socioeconomic ties are suggested between the Fort Mountain sites and the middle Cave Creek sites, with relatively limited interaction with the larger Hohokam populations to the south.
