The microbiome of P. vannamei was characterized by high-throughput sequencing (HTS). Shrimp were collected from a commercial farm and divided into two groups: healthy and affected by vibriosis, confirmed by PCR and histological analysis. Stomachs and intestines were processed for microbiome analysis. Primers 341F/806R were used to amplify the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene.
