Data and code for: Root exudate chemodiversity bridges acquisitive-conservative strategy synergy between roots and rhizosphere microbes in a subtropical forest

This dataset was generated from a field study conducted in subtropical evergreen broadleaf forests of Motuo County, Xizang, China, involving 13 coexisting tree species. It includes measurements of root exudation rates, metabolite profiles, root functional traits, and rhizosphere microbial diversity, collected to investigate how the quantity and quality of root exudates mediate root–microbe functional synergy along the conservative–acquisitive root economics spectrum.
