资源简介:
The data collection consists of projections for precipitation, relative humidity, daily maximum temperature, daily minimum temperature and downwards surface solar radiation on a daily temporal resolution across Australia for most of the 21st century (2016-2085) from 8 CMIP5 models. These projections have been downscaled through a 'quantile-quantile' scaling process to a resolution of approx. 5 km. \nThis data collection was produced to produce application-ready climate projections where changes in extreme conditions are allowed to differ from changes in mean conditions. This is achieved through the use of the quantile-quantile scaling approach, as opposed to a delta scaling approach often used for application-ready projections.\n\nMore information can be found in the technical report: https://doi.org/10.25919/88wm-mw53\nQuality assurance documentation is in a report, found in the supporting documentation below.\nLineage: Data from the historical experiments from 8 CMIP5 models (ACCESS1-0, CanESM2, CESM1-CAM5, CNRM-CM5, GFDL-ESM2M, HadGEM2-CC, MIROC5 and NorESM1-M) over a baseline period (1981-2010) are divided into 100 quantiles, and the values for these quantiles are compared to those for future simulations from these models in the RCP2.6, 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios and the periods 2016-2045, 2036-2065, and 2056-2085 to calculate model-, period- and scenario-specific change factors for each variable. These change factors are applied to observed baseline data from AGCD (tasmin, tasmax, pr) and ERA5 (rsds and rhs) to form application-ready projections.
