Replication files for: Japan's recorded Penal Code offences in 2025: two yardsticks

Data and code for a Glasp Research data memo that sets Japan's 2025 recorded Penal Code offences (National Police Agency, Crime Statistics on e-Stat) against the 2019 level and against a mechanical extension of the 2010 to 2019 decline. The 2025 total was 3.4% above 2019 and 71.9% above the extension line. Includes the series build from the e-Stat files, the cross-check against the NPA annual crime statistics books, and the row-label audit of the source tables.
