Study on the oral microbiota of oral cancer

These data were generated to analyze the bacterial compositions and functions of human oral microbiome. To determine the role of the oral microbiome in recurrence of oral cancer, we compared the bacterial taxa of tumor samples with recurrence or without recurrence. We performed 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing on 54 oral swab samples from OSCC patients. The sequencing data were analyzed using the Easy Microbiome Analysis Platform (EasyMAP). We predicted the functional pathways from these ASVs using Tax4Fun2 (v1.1.5) and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) dataset.
