In both knockout groups, the basic carbohydrate and energetic metabolism seems to be deregulated in the striatum compared to the WT littermates. These results are in common trend with current literature data. Expectedly, the deregulation pattern is more pronounced in homozygous DAT-KO rats than in DAT-Het.
