Enhancing Environmentally Friendly Airports Towards Eco-Airports Through Effective Passenger Baggage Tracking Services

The management of luggage, particularly the tracking of its journey from the moment a passenger hands an item over to an airline officer at the airport of origin until the owner receives it at the destination airport, is a critical activity in the running of an airport. As the body that oversees baggage management regulation, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) released Resolution 753 about the luggage monitoring procedure that all airlines must follow. In compliance with the current requirement, post-flight luggage management is covered in this article. The result of this analysis shows that technical innovation is required in the luggage handling process to reduce the possibility of damage or loss and will be improved to support the eco-airport program.
