## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from multiple datasets. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.\n\n\n\nThis dataset was created to represent Licenced Water Entitlements in Gippsland PAE geolocated to groundwater bores as volume per works. \n\nThe records in the dataset have been classified into "Basic Water Right" or "Water Access Right".\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThis is an intermediate dataset that has been created to represent Groundwater Economic Elements spatially in the Gippsland PAE to feed into the Gippsland Asset database.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nAll Bores from the NGIS Victorian Extract (fc6dbf39-d786-4412-b631-04695db4cc90) within the Gippsland PAE were selected by using the "Select by Location" function in ArcGIS. \n\nThis resulted in 31,202 Bores in the Gippsland PAE.\n\nNote 3,477 bores are FTYPE unknown. \n\nAn Extract of Victorian GW Licences with entitlement volume (a410fbcc-7c3d-486a-87c4-a5bb88fb489f) were joined to NGIS Gippsland bores by Licence. \n\nNote Volume had already been distributed to works by DEPI in this file \n\nNote total entitlement volume for licences in Gippsland PAE = 82,015 ML/YR\n\nPlease note this dataset does not include Mining entitlement volumes \n\nNon functioning bores were removed from the file:\n\nDelete STATUS = Abandoned or Decomissioned\n\nStatus categories available = 'DCM', 'PRP', 'UNK', 'USE'\n\nSelect where 'Status' = 'DCM (212 records)\n\nDelete where status = 'DCM'\n\nNote status = 'UNK' = (1,503 records)\n\nNote, a small proportion of records contained volume but were not active and these were removed from the dataset.\n\n\n\nClassification for these elements are as follows based on the Asset and Receptor Guide v18:\n\n\n\nEXPR\t NULL\n\nMON\t NULL\n\nDOM \tBasicWaterRight\n\nSTOK\tBasicWaterRight\n\nAQCT\tWaterAccessRight\n\nCOMS\tWaterAccessRight\n\nDMGN\tWaterAccessRight\n\nDWAT\tWaterAccessRight\n\nDYCL\tWaterAccessRight\n\nINDS \tWaterAccessRight\n\nIRAG \tWaterAccessRight\n\nSLTI\t WaterAccessRight\n\nUNK\t WaterAccessRight\n\nURBN\tWaterAccessRight\n\nVLGE \tWaterAccessRight\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2015) Groundwater Economic Assets Gippsland 20150427v02.
