Plagioclase grain sizes of the Rooiberg Group, Bushveld Igneous Complex, South Africa

Plagioclase crystals from volcanic deposits from the four Rooiberg Group formations were measured according to grain size. The diameters of the plagioclase crystals were used to create grain size distribution histograms according to each formation. The resulting data and histograms were analysed to distinguish volcanic deposit crystal patterns and proximal versus distal deposits according to each formation.
