Resveratrol Alleviates Psychiatric Comorbidities in Dextran Sulfate Sodium-Induced Colitis Mice by Modulating Gut Microbiota and Gut-Brain Axis Function

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is commonly associated with psychiatric comorbidities, including anxiety and depression, which are believed to be mediated by the gut-brain axis (GBA). Dysbiosis and disruption of the gut-brain barrier are key mechanisms. This study aimed to investigate whether resveratrol (RSV) alleviates emotional disturbances in dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis by modulating gut microbiota and GBA function.
