Development of a new flaB gene-based profiling approach for detection of Borrelia and Borreliella species in DNA samples derived from ticks. This method allows for putative strain-level resolution, offering deeper insight into the genetic diversity of Borreliaceae populations. Compared to conventional nested PCR and qPCR tests, and V4 rrs gene-based profiling, this approach provides a broader and more detailed picture of Borreliaceae composition.
