Genome Analysis of Marine Organisms and Development of Functional Applications (KAP220230)

Recent advances in NGS sequencing technology have made it possible to obtain genetic information from various microorganisms in the environment. In order to utilize the various microbial genes in the marine environment, this study apply the metagenomic research method. In particular, using gene data, protein structure, and activity data through experimental verification, the association between genotypes and phenotypes is analyzed to increase understanding of the variation in function according to gene variation. These findings are expected to provide an important basis for the gene utilization of unculturable microbes.
