The Framework coordinates existing programs and builds new partnerships that result in more effective and efficient management of the Commonwealth’s land and water resources. Five large-scale basins are defined by the Framework to serve as monitoring resource units (called Basin Management Units). To better serve management strategies, these five basins are further divided into seven areas called Basin Team Areas. Basin Coordinators focus resources and engage stakeholders in the Basin Team Areas so that better utilization of resources (i.e., tax dollars, time and information) can be achieved.</span><br /></div>
