资源简介:
This series comprises of the exhibits both redacted and unredacted that were produced in the public Inquiry under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 into The Returned Services League of Australia (New South Wales Branch), RSL Welfare and Benevolent Institution and RSL LifeCare Limited. The exhibits include financial documents and statements, meeting minutes from the various RSL organisation invovled in the Inquiry, appointment correspondence and applications to fundraise authorisations.During the Inquiry the exhibit documents were managed by the Inquiry staff in physcial binders. These documents were printed and paginated with page numbers. After the Inquiry was closed these physcial binders were destroyed under Normal Administraive Practices. All exhibited documents were managed in Relativity, an ediscovery electronic document system. Documents were loaded to Relativity (without redactions). Redaction instructions were provided by the legal team on hard copy documents or by email. Then redactions were applied to the documents in Relativity and the redactions were burned on to the image and exported from the system with redactions. Then the exhibit bundles were put together outside of Relativity and uploaded back into the system (in bundle form) for approval by the legal team. The Senior Legal Team used a Master Hyperlinked Index that was managed outside of the Relativity System. The Master Hyperlinked Index was comprised of the metadata (stored in Relativity) of the documents included in the exhibit bundles. The individual “exhibit bundles” and their corresponding indices were maintained (pages redacted/removed/added) outside of Relativity and re-uploaded to the system for approval by the legal team. The index managed extracts of documents, redacted versions, and duplicate copies of documents that were produced across multiple exhibits in extracted or complete versions. It was extensively reviewed and checked by the Senior Legal Team and reflects their best thinking with respect to the level of redactions applied to each document up until the end of January 2018. The Legal team reviewed the exhibits multiple times and released formerly redacted portions of documents as the hearings progressed. Within Relativity, the unredacted versions of documents tendered as exhibits could possibly have different levels of redactions to those in the Master Hyperlinked Index given the way in which the Senior Legal Team managed the lifecycle of the Master Hyperlinked Index outside of the Relativity environment.Email within this series contain attachments. These attachments are primarily made up of PDF documents and various Microsoft Office files, such as Word documents. The attachments remain within the email and have also been removed as separate records within the exhibit bundles.
