A comprehensive desktop review of the tenure was undertaken during the 2015-16 using historical drilling data of nearby drill-holes and a variety of publicly available geophysics data re-interpreted by U&D Mining. Since 2017 the company has reduced the size of its permit holdings by some 75% in part to satisfy the regulatory relinquishment requirements while at the same time allowing the company to focus its limited finances on key projects with the development of Meteor Downs South taking priority over the past several years. As “Harrybrant” was won through a competitive tender process and with the committed works not being completed, the company decided not to lodge an application for renewal at the end of the five-year term.
