Data and code for Viral profiles carry conditional information about intertidal bacterial communities

Processed data and analysis code supporting the manuscript Viral profiles carry conditional information about intertidal bacterial communities. Sixty intertidal sediment metagenomes were collected monthly at five sites in Sanya Bay, Hainan, China, during 2024. The data archive contains sample and environmental metadata; a catalogue of 410 viral operational taxonomic units and 101 representative bacterial metagenome-assembled genomes, with quality, taxonomy and abundance tables; candidate virus–host links and CRISPR features; microdiversity summaries; ecological statistics; prediction archives for every experiment (folds, preprocessing, model selections, out-of-fold predictions, graph controls and metrics; the fitted model arrays are left out to keep the archive small and are listed in MODEL_ARRAYS_NOT_INCLUDED.tsv); and the figures, Supplementary Data, Supplementary Tables and figure source data. The data and code are provided as separate ZIP archives, with SHA-256 checksums. The code archive contains the analysis, verification and figure code, frozen analysis protocols, tests and environment files. Raw shotgun metagenomic reads are deposited under NCBI BioProject PRJNA1431133. The samples and metagenomes were analysed previously in Wang et al.
