Abstract

The Country Opinion Survey in the Republic of Congo assists the World Bank Group (WBG) in better understanding how stakeholders in the Republic of Congo perceive the WBG. It provides the WBG with systematic feedback from national and local governments, multilateral/bilateral agencies, media, academia, the private sector, and civil society in the Republic of Congo on 1) their views regarding the general environment in the Republic of Congo; 2) their overall attitudes toward the WBG in the Republic of Congo; 3) overall impressions of the WBG’s effectiveness and results, knowledge work and activities, and communication and information sharing in the Republic of Congo; and 4) their perceptions of the WBG’s future role in the Republic of Congo.

From April 2023 to June 2023, a total of 669 stakeholders of the WBG in Congo were invited to provide their opinions on the WBG’s work in the country by participating in a Country Opinion Survey (COS). Participants were drawn from the Office of the President, Prime Minister, or Minister; the Office of a Parliamentarian; government institutions; local governments; bilateral /multilateral agencies; private sector; civil society; academia, research institutes, and think tanks, and the media.
