资源简介:
Soil samples from four sites in the Lower Mammoth Data Recovery (Bagdad) project area, northwest Arizona, were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. Site AZ M:7:41 (ASM) represents a large rock shelter that was occupied during the Late Archaic period, while Sites AZ M: 7:42(ASM) and AZ M:8:37(ASM) represent Late Prehistoric rock shelter sites. Site AZ M:8:27(ASM) contained numerous roasting pits that formed a debris or mound pile, and radiocarbon dates suggest a Protohistoric to Historic occupation. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide information concerning plant resources utilized by the various occupants of these sites.
