Epistemic Authority and Multi-Actor Discourse on Pharmaceutical Regulation in Indonesia's Digital Public Sphere

This dataset supports the research article "Contesting a Controversial Policy: Epistemic Authority and Multi-Actor Discourse on Pharmaceutical Regulation in Indonesia's Digital Public Sphere" (Rusdiyanti et al., 2026), submitted to F1000Research. The dataset contains aggregated and anonymized social media data collected via Intelligence Socio Analytic (ISA) from six platforms (Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and Facebook) spanning January–May 2026 (n=473 posts), related to the controversy surrounding BPOM Regulation No. 5/2026 on drug management in modern retail facilities in Indonesia. The dataset includes:(1) Actor composition by category (n=473 posts, 7 categories)(2) Media exposure volume per platform (January–May 2026)(3) Sentiment distribution per actor category(4) Emotion profile of negative sentiment posts (Plutchik framework)(5) Dominant discourse themes (5 themes)(6) Platform distribution by actor category Due to privacy considerations and platform terms of service, individual post-level data are not included.
