本数据库主要包含中国境内各历史时期瓦当的图像样本。内部采集方面，研究团队对博物馆、文物保护研究所等机构开放的瓦当图像进行整理；外部采集方面，自研网络爬虫从公开网站批量下载瓦当图片，并通过多轮人工审核、图像质量检测等方式，最终构建了高质量瓦当图像样本，覆盖唐、宋、元、明、清五个主要朝代以及多种类型瓦当构件。严格遵守学术与版权协议，所有图像均留存使用许可或公共域说明。

This database primarily comprises image samples of eaves tile ends from various historical periods in China. For internal sourcing, the research team curated publicly accessible images of eaves tile ends from institutions including museums and cultural relics protection research institutes. For external sourcing, the team developed a custom web crawler to batch-download eaves tile end images from public websites, and ultimately constructed a high-quality dataset of eaves tile end images through multiple rounds of manual review and image quality inspection. The dataset covers five major dynasties—Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing—as well as diverse types of tile end components. Strict compliance with academic and copyright protocols is ensured, with usage licenses or public domain declarations retained for all included images.
