Metatranscriptomes from an Oxygen Deficient Zone in the Eastern Tropical North Pacific Ocean, raw sequence reads

This dataset consists of 16 metatranscriptomes sampled from 4 different regions (High Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Low DO, Secondary Chlorophyll Maximum, and Nitrite Maximum) of an Oxygen Deficient Zone (ODZ) at 2 different stations (P1, P2) in the Eastern Tropical North Pacific Ocean (ETNP). These samples were taken during a cruise on the R/V Revelle in April-May 2018. The goals of this study were to survey microbial activities in these 4 different regions and to search for evidence of Bacteria and Archaea that cross oxic-anoxic boundaries in ODZs. This study has relevance to microbial adaptation to low DO conditions and to better understadning cryptic nutrient cycling in ODZs.
