Survey data on sustainable farming, ESG reporting, and green loan schemes in Ukraine

The data originate from an online survey conducted among managers of Ukrainian agricultural enterprises in December 2024 and January 2025. The population of interest comprises the legally registered agricultural enterprises in Ukraine. Topics addressed are sustainable farming activities, ESG reporting particularly with environmental focus, and green agricultural lending programs. The survey instrument contains a stated choice experiment in which participants chose among alternative green lending schemes characterized by attributes on environmental reporting, and monetary as well as non-monetary benefits of the respective schemes. In addition, the survey instrument contains 23 closed form items addressing knowledge about and attitudes towards sustainable agricultural practices, ESG- and particularly environmental reporting, green-lending schemes, and some farm structural information. Requests to participate were emailed to 16,000 agricultural enterprises from all regions of Ukraine, except warfare zones and occupied territories by the agricultural accountancy service provider Uteka, Kyiv. The data are partially cleaned and comprise responses of 210 participants.
