Improving Australia's response to childhood obesity: Prevention education and its impact on mothers and families: data

Interview data from a research project on obesity prevention messages and their impact on mothers and their children. Monash University researchers, Suzanne Fraser, JaneMaree Maher, Alan Petersen and research associate Claire Tanner, in collaboration with Jan Wright from Wollongong University, collected and analysed 30 interviews of mothers and childcare workers. The aim was to better understand how prevention education aimed at preventing obesity in children. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from 24 mothers and 6 childcare staff. The interview data was analysed to identify mothers' and childcare workers' responses to prevention messages, and their views on weight, food and health for children and their families.
