During an April 2023 survey among adults in the United States, nearly three-quarters (or 73 percent) of respondents said they thought there were far too many or somewhat many advertisements on paid television. Meanwhile, 37 percent of the interviewees said the same about podcasts. According to the same study, direct texting and email marketing were the channels U.S. consumers felt the most comfortable receiving personalized ads in 2023.
