Preprint review metadata in Crossref and DataCite
收藏资源简介:
Record-level data accompanying the section Linking preprint and review metadata in the report:Mapping the preprint review metadata transfer workflows https://doi.org/10.31222/osf.io/yu4sm The dataset contains the folllowing fies: crossref_preprint_review_2023.csv (n = 34,713) crossref_review_preprint_2023.csv (n = 36,492) datacite_preprint_review_2023.csv (n = 63) datacite_review_preprint_2023.csv (n = 6,412) data_dictionary.txt The csv files contain record-level data on reviewed preprints with publication year 2023 in both Crossref and DataCite, as well as preprint reviews with publication year 2023 in both systems. For reviewed preprints, information was collected about the preprint platform and, for all reviews that themselves have a DOI, the review platform. For preprint reviews, information is similarly collected about the review platform and the preprint platform. Variables are described in the data dictionary included in this record, referring to the Crossref metadata schema and the DataCite metadaa schema 4.4. Not all variables are used in each dataset. This analysis was performed using Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative (COKI) infrastructure, which is documented on GitHub: https://github.com/The-Academic-Observatory. Here, a number of open data sources (including Crossref and DataCite) are ingested into a Google Big Query environment, which can then be queried via SQL.The following data sources were used: Crossref (Metadata Plus snaphot 2024-10-31) DataCite (public data file 2024-04-30, with records up to 2023-12-31) The code used to generate the dataset is available on GitHub: https://github.com/bmkramer/preprint_review_metadata
