资源简介:
Topological materials, characterized by non-zero topological invariants, host robust surface states and offer potential for fundamental physics and quantum technology. Topological metals, a subset of these materials, exhibit exotic electronic states and unconventional superconductivity. While Bi and Pd-based compounds are explored for topological superconductivity, the unstable γ-BiPd phase has received less attention. Theoretical studies suggest γ-BiPd is a Z₂ TM with symmetry-enforced band crossings, hinting at topological superconductivity and orbital-selective behavior due to strong spin-orbit coupling. This proposal focuses on a comprehensive investigation of the superconducting properties of γ-Bi1-xTexPd single crystals, stabilized in the non-symmorphic hexagonal P6₃/mmc space group. This structure, combined with the predicted Z₂ topological nature, positions Te-doped γ-BiPd as a promising candidate for time-reversal symmetry breaking and the realization of topological superconductivity.
