Public Opinion on Route 12 – Panel Survey Data (Neuhausen am Rheinfall, 2018–2019)

This dataset contains merged panel data from a three-wave survey on public perceptions of autonomous buses and Route 12 in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Switzerland. The survey was conducted by the Institute of Science, Technology and Policy (ISTP) at ETH Zürich between February 2018 and October 2019. ## Files Included - `panel_data.csv` — Merged wide-format dataset (CSV)- `panel_data.rds` — R-readable object (RDS)- `panel_data.RData` — R binary workspace object- `README.md` — Project description and documentation ## Structure - Each row represents a unique respondent (`id`), matched across three waves.- All variables from Wave 1 are prefixed with `w1_`, from Wave 2 with `w2_`, and from Wave 3 with `w3_`. ## Survey Overview - **Wave 1**: Conducted Feb–Apr 2018, before Route 12 launch- **Wave 2**: Nov 2018–Jan 2019, mid-test period- **Wave 3**: Aug–Oct 2019, post-test evaluation Sample size: Originally ~8000 contacted; ~1400 in Wave 1; ~930 in Waves 2 and 3 (see detailed reports for response rates) ## Citation Please cite the dataset and project as follows: > Wicki, Michael and Bernauer, Thomas (2020). *Public Opinion on Route 12*.
