VPRS 15015 File Management Cards, 'HO' Series

File management cards in this series are for Eastern Division which eventually took in the Seymour, Benalla, Beechworth, Alexandra, Sale, Bairnsdale and Omeo Land Districts.From 1943, file management details for Crown Lands Correspondence Files (see VPRS 441) were transferred on to cards. Details given are the file number as allocated in VPRS 6574 Registers of 'H' and 'HO' Files, the name and address of the person or organisation and the description of the land in terms of parish, section and allotment or block number and area. On some cards, the purpose for which the land was used may be noted. Others have, where the file has been transferred to PROV custody, the location of that file. File management details are dates for the addition or despatch of correspondence, 'call-ups' of the file for action to be taken and notations of the sending of the file to other sections of the Department of Crown Lands and Survey (VA 538) such as the Deeds Branch or the Accounts Branch.
