The dataset from the Paper entitled "Impact of ankle angle on the translaitonal traction of soccer boots".The data was obtained with a custom apparatus that obtained the traction force of a soccer boot outsole moving in a one direction across both a natural and artificial playing surface. Each trial obtained data at a rate of 150 Hz and the total time for each trial was 8 seconds, rendering 1200 data points per trial. For each loading condition, 10 trials were recorded. For anterior and posterior movements, there were 7 different loading angles and for medial and lateral movements there 5 different loading angles. The data is deposited into the four different movement types (anterior posterior medial lateral) with a natural grass and artificial grass file for each movement.The dataset provided is the voltage signal obtained from the DAQ, the signal was then converted to a force using calibrated weights on each day of testing and then calculated as a coefficient using the normal load applied. Within each folder there are the 10 individual trials for each angle, as well as the average value (column 11 for each angle). Headings for each angle are at the start (column 1) of each the trial batches.
