Data supporting the publication: It's more than money. Characterizing transactions in Nature-based Solutions in the Ems Estuary

This dataset contains five files corresponding to the publication: It's more than money. Characterizing transactions in Nature-based Solutions in the Ems Estuary. [DOI to be included once published]. <br>The publication entails research on four Nature-based Solutions projects in the Ems Estuary. <br>The research objective of the study is to understand how both monetary and non‑monetary transactions shape the implementation and financing of Nature‑based Solutions (NbS) by analysing four NbS projects within the Ems Estuary programme; the research is qualitative, embedded case study research, grounded in institutional economics and transaction analysis; data were collected through extensive document analysis, semi‑structured interviews, observations, and triangulation with project and policy records across multiple actors and project phases; the study uses predominantly qualitative data, consisting of textual policy documents, contracts, agreements, interview material, and reconstructed transaction records describing resource exchanges such as money, sediment, land, permits, and knowledge. This dataset stores the (raw) qualitative data collected for these four projects.
