X-ray data can help to better understand surface properties and atmospheric composition magnetospheric interactions and the geometry of neutron stars. Out of 2800 known radio pulsars only about %10 are detected in X-ray. Restricting ourselves to mainly bright sources or lucky finds may cause an observational bias in particular for pulsars with low spin-down powers where possible evidence for increased heating or non-dipole magnetic field components is observed. We propose a continuation of our deep legacy survey of nearby pulsars to obtain a less biased view of neutron stars X-ray properties. The proposed targets will fill in the crucial parameter space of the X-ray luminosity-spin-down power diagram which is essential to understand the physics of neutron stars and pulsars. [truncated!
