It supports housing affordability analysis across state, county, and census tract levels and includes both renter and owner household cost burden indicators. Feature Layers State: State polygon features with geographic identifiers, land and water area, and ACS estimates describing renter-occupied housing units, renter housing cost burden, owner-occupied housing units, mortgage status, and owner housing cost burden. County: County polygon features with county and state context, area measurements, and the same ACS housing cost indicators for county-level comparison and regional planning. Tract: Census tract polygon features with tract, county, and state context plus ACS housing cost indicators for neighborhood-scale analysis of affordability patterns. Data Theme The service centers on housing affordability and cost burden. It includes ACS-derived household counts, percentages, and margins of error for renter households, owner households with mortgages, and owner households without mortgages. The measures summarize households spending 30 percent or more of income on housing costs, along with related cost categories and uncertainty estimates.
