Functional annotation of the Bacillus paralicheniformis TB197 genome

This dataset contains the functional annotation of the predicted protein‑coding genes from the genome of Bacillus paralicheniformis strain TB197. Annotation was performed using the automated pipelines Prokka and RAST, which identified gene features and predicted functions.
The data are provided as a Microsoft Excel file (.xlsx), with one row per annotated feature and the following columns:
• locus_tag – Unique identifier assigned to each feature (e.g., CDS, tRNA, rRNA)
• ftype – Feature type (CDS, rRNA, tRNA, etc.)
• length_bp – Length of the feature in base pairs
• gene – Gene name or symbol, when available
• EC_number – Enzyme Commission number describing enzymatic function (if applicable)
• COG – Cluster of Orthologous Groups classification (if assigned)
• product – Predicted protein product or gene function
These annotations can be used for functional analyses, pathway reconstruction, and comparative genomics. All values are based on genomic evidence and curated predictions generated by the tools mentioned above.
