As of June 2023, 41.1 percent of fixed broadband connections in the OECD were fiber connections. Meanwhile, almost 30 percent were classed as DSL connections, which deliver broadband services via existing telephone cables. South Korea had the highest share of fiber connections among OECD nations at almost 89 percent, followed by Japan at almost 86 percent.
