Tranquil Cinematic Virtual Reality Dataset

In this three-arm, nonrandomized pre-post study, we evaluated changes in subjective and perceived stress among 153 health care workers across three hospitals following a three-minute Tranquil Cinematic VR experience. Participants selected one of three immersive environments: a nature preserve, a sea lion exhibit, or a tropical aquatic habitat. All three simulations were associated with statistically significant reductions in subjective and perceived stress, with no significant differences in the magnitude of reductions across environments.
