Yazi’s Dream

Yazi's Dream celebrates the life of Yazi, my first cat. In Looking at Birds, the recorded birds represent the birds Yazi watched and tried to talk to through the window. The synthesized trills on the bang di, a Chinese flute which resembles a keyless bamboo piccolo, represent Yazi’s bird fantasies. In Blowing into a Strong Wind, Yazi's panting breath becomes the wind whistling in the shadows at the top of a mountain. The Chinese percussion instruments, including buddha gongs, qing and muyu, play a parade of memories honoring her life. In Floating over the Mountain to the Ocean, Yazi watches the waves of the Pacific, where she is part of the past and the future.

《雅致的梦》赞颂了我国第一只猫——雅致的生平。在《凝视飞鸟》中，所记录的鸟儿代表了雅致通过窗户所注视并试图与之交谈的鸟类。在《吹奏强风》中，雅致的喘息呼吸化为山巅阴影中的呼啸之风。其中，包含佛陀钟、青锣与木鱼在内的中国打击乐器，共同演奏出一曲缅怀她生平的回忆交响曲。在《飘越山巅至海洋》中，雅致凝望太平洋的波涛，她既是过往，亦是未来。
