The purpose of this study was to describe and compare the vaginal microbiota of Latxa ewes which were inoculated intravaginally with a probiotic before the insertion of intravaginal sponges impregnated with progestin (T0) and right after the removal of the sponge (T1), via the use of 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The microbiota was also evaluated during pregnancy (T2).
