GDO Indicator for Forecasting Unusually Wet and Dry Conditions SPI-6 based on the forecast of ECMWF (version 2.1.0)

The indicator provides robust forecasts of the occurrence of on unusual dry or wet precipitation conditions over the next 6 months. It is computed based on the forecasted Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI-6), derived from the long-range (i.e. seasonal) forecast system (SEAS51) of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). This indicator is calculated using a reference period between the year 1981 and 2016. It has a spatial resolution of 1 decimal degree and a temporal resolution of 1 month.
