STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS IN INTERNATIONAL TOURISM TERMINOLOGY

This article analyzes structural and semantic problems found in international tourism terminology. In particular, it examines the polysemy of terms, the blurring of boundaries between similar terms, context-dependent shifts in meaning, and challenges that arise in the translation process. The paper also discusses phonetic, morphological, and semantic inconsistencies that occur during the borrowing of tourism terms from English into Uzbek. Based on international standards and scientific sources, the article substantiates the need to systematize and correctly apply tourism terminology.
