16S rRNA (gene) amplicon sequencing from the middle course and upper estuary of the Rio Tinto river

16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing from the middle course of the Rio Tinto river to evaluate the role of microbes in heavy metal mobility and fluxes. Sediment and stream samples of the middle course and upper estuary were taken in the dry season (June, July) 2017. Deposited here is raw sequencing data of 16S (V4 region, primers 515f and 806r) rRNA amplicon sequencing of the microbial community composition. Illumina MiSeq sequencing (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) using PE 250 bp MiSeq Reagent Kit v2 (500 cycles kit) were performed at Microsynth AG (Balgach, Switzerland).
